Jayapura is a modern city located in a bay called Yos Sudarso Bay. The name Jayapura has the meaning “ City of Victory ” in Sanskrit. Don’t go to Jayapura only for office or work matters because of the loss if you just do that without visiting the tourist destination presented by Jayapura.

With a lake area of around 245,000 hectares this makes Lake Sentani the widest lake on Papua land.

2. Youtefa Bay

Youtefa Bay is one of Jayapura’s tourist destinations that offers Papua’s natural panorama. The tourist attractions that enter the Nature Park area have an area of around 1,675 hectares and are located in the middle of – the middle of Yos Sudarso Bay.

Youtefa Bay is increasingly known to be used as a venue for national events, the National Sports Week (PON) XX Papua 2021. The Youtefa Bay Area was made a race on the Paddle branch.
